The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), is proud to present the Scholarship for Latin American Nuclear Medicine Physicians, Residents, and Professionals or Technologists Related to Nuclear Medicine, aimed at supporting participation costs for the WFNMB 2026 Congress.
Please note that the scholarship is personal and non-transferable, and will not be awarded if the recipient does not attend the congress.
Eligibility Requirements
- Submission and acceptance of a scientific abstract at the WFNMB 2026 Congress.
- Country of origin: They must be citizens of Latin American countries.
- Must be 40 years old or younger in 2025.
- Educational level: Eligible applicants include:
- Nuclear medicine physicians or professionals and technologists in related fields
- Nuclear medicine residents
- Students enrolled in medical specialization, master’s, or doctoral programs in related areas
- Undergraduate students are not eligible.
Application Process
Applicants must express their interest in the scholarship when submitting their scientific abstract through the official platform of the World Congress of Nuclear Medicine.
Additionally, the following documents must be uploaded as a single PDF file:
- Proof of nationality from a Latin American country
- Valid identification showing proof of age (40 years or younger)
- Proof of current enrollment in studies
Selection Criteria
Scholarship recipients will be selected by a committee appointed by the organizing entities, based on the highest scores obtained in the evaluation of the submitted scientific abstracts.
Number of Scholarships
The total number of scholarships available will depend on budget availability.
Scholarship Benefits
- Registration fee for the WFNMB 2026 Congress
- Financial stipend, depending on the applicant’s nationality:
- Latin American applicants (excluding Colombia): USD $800 in cash, delivered on the first day of the Congress.
- Colombian applicants: USD $400 (in local currency), transferred to the recipient’s bank account on their first day of attendance at the event.
